Program Information

'B-squad' is a full-day, fully outdoor, earth living skills youth homeschool enrichment program, that takes place on Wednesdays in Van Etten, NY.  The first group of homeschoolers named this program after the road in which the program takes place.

This forest school enrichment program is currently in its 6th year of running, where the participants and mentors have formed a deep connection to place through our cyclical routines of craft, cooking, exploration and play. We have access to nearly 200 acres of private land with range of different ecosystems -- a swamp, wetlands, fields, orchards, hardwood mixed forests, white pine groves, a gorge, a deep creek, maple sugarbush, hawthorn grove, and creek floodplains.

Earth's cyclical rhythms meets childhood passions, creates the structure & flow of our days.

The participant age range is 8-12 years old, with a maximum capacity of 12 participants with 2 mentors. The majority of the kids join for all three season's sessions: Fall, Winter and Spring.
