Calendula Unscented Tallow Soap
A beautiful transformation occurs when (often) discarded Central, NY cow fat is chopped up, wet rendered, and purified into tallow, serving as the base of this soap. The rendered and purified tallow is then infused with herbs and/or combined with an herbal infused organic cold-pressed unrefined olive oil, an herbal infusion, lye (sodium hydroxide) and in some blends, organic essential oils. Since this soap is made with herbs and/or essential oils as the source of fragrance the scents of these simple soaps are more mild than 'conventional' soap.
